FEW WAYS TO ENTERTAIN KIDS AT HOME

Hi, Good day all. 
Here I come with few ways that really going to make your kids feel playful along with you inside your home.
Nowadays kids are missing their friends and companies in surroundings as no one are ready to send them freely outside because of security reasons.
So as they should enjoy their childhood, here we go as a good friends .



1. TOUCH THE THINGS

Here you can play with your kid by making them to touch the things what you are mentioning. Likewise they have to repeat it for you.
 

Example:
YOU:  touch the table
KID: should run and touch the table
KID: touch the TV
YOU: should run and touch the TV
Now it’s your turn to mention the thing. In same way u have to continue playing. Whatever its in your home you can use it, like chair, sofa, computer, even doors, etc.



2. ANIMAL WALKING

This is the good play which kids like a lot. You have to mention animal names like monkey, frog, elephant, snake, caterpillar, birds, etc. Before that you can show a demo of such animals how they moves. So that they have to move or crawl or fly like an animal what you are mentioning. This will entertain you too.
 

EXAMPLE:
YOU: say bird
KID: have to move by raising their hands up and down like a bird

3. COLOUR POCKETING

Nowadays there are many coloured pool balls are available in market. They can be used to play colour pocketing too.
You have to spread the balls and mention any particular colour. So they have to collect that coloured balls alone and have to pocket them in a basket, or anything what you decided to use for.
 

EXAMPLE:
YOU: Red...
KID: have to run and collect all red colour balls and pocket them
Thus in that way it continues, if there are more than two kids you can play along with timings and counting who pocketed more number of balls. It will be more interesting for them.


4. FLOATING AND SINKING

This is the water game in which every kids love to spend time. For this you have to take few floating and sinking things in your home, like small plastic ball,  piece of cardboard, weightless toys that floats and for sinking you can take things like silver spoon, pebbles, toys that sinks.
Now take a small bucket of water and place in front. Now if you tell floating thing kid should identify the floating object and have put into the water. If you tell sinking they have to identify the sinking object and have to put into the water.
From this they will not only enjoying the game, also will learn to identify the difference between floating and sinking objects.


5. NAUGHTY NAUGHTY

Kids will enjoy to the core as we are going to make them or permit them to do their naughty things, which they love to do. Here we go.
They have to respond to the command what you supposed to tell. You have to command them like walk, run ,  jump, sit ,stand, laugh ,clap ,role, node your head, freeze, etc. They should do what you command them.
 

EXAMPLE:
YOU: Run.....
KID: Should run around you
YOU: jump.....
KID: should jump as they like
This surely makes them to feel joyful.
 

Dear parents, as our kids are really missing the childhood whatever we enjoyed in ours with bunch of kids. We have to find some time for them and should make them to realize the childhood spirit. Have a memorable parenthood and childhood.

Exclusive Interview with Mrs.Sunanda Prabhu - Importance of Yoga in day to day life– on the occasion of International Yoga Day

Yoga at its core embodies the science of attaining a conscious state of mind which is in tune with, constantly active and changing universe which is in a boundless and eternal form. Yoga is to constantly seek from as big as universe which enables finding and understanding the truth of connect of humans to universe.

Yoga is not just about practising the postures and mudras, but it is to do with the life itself to be lived.

WHY IS YOGA IMPORTANT

Ancient wisdom, philosophy, science, technologies have taken many transformations with time and have tried retaining the few facets of benefit it offers for various modern day living issues. People have found in simpler manner how these ancient wisdoms can be made as simple applications to solve few problems we face in daily life.

So there born the modern day Yoga, taking out the essence of rejuvenating benefits it offers by practicing asana, pranayama, mudra, chakra, mantra, kirtana, dhyana, samadhi, Nirvana.

Is Yoga needed for everyone ?

Yoga is not only for yogis, it is a way of healthy lifestyle, if practised under the  guidance of a guru then you can keep yourselves  fit physically  and  mentally.

In the occasion  of  INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY I would like to present you  an exclusive  interview  with  Mrs. Sunanda Prabhu, a multifaceted person  who  is a yoga teacher, writer, beautician, teacher, singer and a mother of  two. Sunanda Prabhu is well known in the field of kannada literacy  world.
 She was born and brought up in Kerala for a kannadaiga couple. She had her primary and secondary  education in malayalam  medium. Then the family moved back to Bangalore and she learned kannada and completed her graduation, and now she is on her way to get kannada M.A . She has published many books in Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi & English. Let’s talk deep about yoga and know the facts..........with Mrs. Sunanda Prabhu.


Please tell us more about yourselves and where and how you have started yoga?

I am from Bangalore. Graduate in Hindi M.A., B.Ed and pursuing Kannada M.A. currently. I write stories and poems in Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada. I used to go to Yoga classes in my teenage on the dream of becoming slim. I stopped it after getting married. I started my own beauty parlour and started working as a beautician there, but all the hard work affected my health. Back pain and neck pain haunted me. I became bed ridden. Even after continuous medication it as no better. AT that point my best friend suggested me to attend yoga classes. As I was unable to go out, the teacher used to come home to teach yoga. After that I was recovered 75%. Then I learnt yoga at SVYASA ( Swami Vivekananda Yoga Institute). This cured me completely and I started practising yoga regularly.

What are the different types of yoga ?

Classical yoga, astanga yoga, Hata yoga, Kundilini etc to name few.

Why is yoga and who can practise?

Yoga is for good health both mentally and physically. Anyone either young or old can practice yoga, Even children can practice.

Can we practice yoga by reading books or through internet?

It is good to be learned under the guidance of a Guru rather from reading books or internet. For much detailed information you can always read books and internet help.

Can women practice yoga?

Definitely !!! Women should practice yoga. Women work very hard and stressed a lot more than Men. Therefore they get health issues. Limited practice of yoga helps in weight management and health management. Yoga can answer to any menopause related health issues.

Is it OK to practice it during Menstruation?

During “periods” only few asanas can be practised. Every women is different. If you are not in much pain during the menstruation, then go ahead and practice yoga.

What are the benefits of yoga?

There are many, good physical and mental health with peace of life and weight management.

Is yoga limited to Hindus?

Yoga has no relation with caste or religion. Any human can practice yoga.

What is Pranayama ? How important is that ? Can u Breif us more about pranayama?


Pranayama was found by Pathanjali Maharshi. According to them, Breathing, Blood circulation, Digestive system, and Nerves system together constitute pranamayakosha. Pranayama is required to balance this Pranamayakosha. Due to the advanced competitive world the people undergo lot of stress and they lose their balance. People suffer from nerve related and blood related problems, they can be cured through regular and correct practice of pranayama.

Can children practice yoga?

Yes they can, but limited asanas.

What are the impacts of yoga on body and mind?

Results in Mind- Body balance and good health. Yoga does more than burn calories and tone muscles. It's a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching poses with deep breathing and meditation or relaxation.

What are the advantages of yoga over other types of workouts?

During other workouts, only the body gets exercised and results in quick relaxation. But Yoga provides deep relaxation and the mind too gets relaxed. No exercise is enduring as yoga, it’s been around for more than 5000 years.

Few strong reasons why someone practice it?

Good health, weight management and relaxation.

What has yoga added to your life?

Father's Day




Though the concept of celebrating father's day is slowly emerging in Indian culture, it is attracting mere importance from the new generation.

Officially the Father's Day will be celebrated Third Sunday of June every year.


HISTORY

It officially started in the year of 1910 at Washington City in respect of honouring one Mr. William Jacson Smart, who was the only parent to brought up his six children. After which it got stopped for time being due to many reasons, after which once again it came into practice from 1930 National wide. They also honoured this celebration announcing a public holiday too.

Though many countries celebrate the Father's Day 3rd Sunday of June, every year, there are many countries, take it up in different dates due to different reasons.




WHY TO HONOUR THE DAY

Fathers are mere equal to the synonym of RESPONSIBILITIES. They love, they care, they demand, they shout, they protect, they share, they guide and always they give give give & give.

As the children grows they turn tobe their best friends and also role models for us..

No money or no gifts will enough to honour Father”s hard work and commitments towards their children. And also not a single day is enough to award them for the endless sacrifices they do.

However, its good to have a practice to celebrate Father's Day, where in today’s busy schedules one can spare a special day for the special person who added value to our lifes. Though in India from very recent years its started to celebrating special days, it should be encouraged, as it gives time to recollect the Hurdles and struggles that our fathers & fore fathers took to give us a wonderful lifestyle.

Also it is a day that reminds our mere responsibilities towards our children too.



HOW CAN WE MAKE THE DAY MEMORABLE / WHAT CELEBRATION CAN WE PLAN

This is the big question before us. How better can we plan the Father's day celebrations, which leave the day memorable to our loved Father's ...

  • Last but not least, they like our presents with them, than our presence of our action in their life. So try to be with them and have a pleasant family time in chit-chats, remembering all old memories...

Deforestation is the main cause for wildlife deterioration , decreased rainfalls and global warming. If it continues in the same manner we will loose our natures beauty, healthy air. So we should fight against illegal deforestation and should habituate planting trees.

Make this day successful by adopting few activities like:

2. Cleaning the surroundings
3. Avoid plastic bags
4. Avoid throughing garbage on roads
5. Participating in events organised by NGO’s & Government bodies.
